"Keyboard Cat"

"Keyboard Cat" was filmed by Charlie Schmidt on April 4, 1984. Fatso (the cat's name) was really named Nora. Later, in 1987 Fatso passed away.  Schmidt uploaded the video on June 7, 2007.  "Keyboard Cat" was ranked as number two on Current TV's list of Greatest Viral Videos. In the original "keyboard cat" video received over 1.6 million views and was shared thousands of times. In 2009, Schmidt adopted another cat Bento and started creating "new and improved" keyboard cat videos.  Over the years, many people have adopted the "keyboard cat" meme and incorporated it into their own videos. As you can tell between the two videos much has changed. The first video was shard over 11 years ago, and the second video was shard just five months ago. In the first video, you can tell the camera is shaky and its in front of a plain screen. In the second video visual effects were added in, and the background was changeable. This video show how much progressions we have received in technology and through the power of YouTube. I enjoyed watching this video because it showed me just how much the digital generation has changed.
