The Last DJ

This song is about a local DJ who is no longer aloud to produce the music he wants to and therefore he quits and moves to Mexico, where he starts his on company. In all honesty, the song is about the world as a whole losing our moral compass and moral center. As a country, we have lost our heart. This song does not specifically talk about technology of digital literacy, but I do believe those things play a vital role in the equation. As a country, we used to read newspapers and books, but now we read articles and download apps. This may be a simple and minute change, but everything else is reflected upon that. This song also tells another story of how the DJ just gave up n his dream and went to Mexico. As a country, we too have done this same thing. As technology adapts and builds, we forget  the old technology and want the new. For example, if a new iPhone was to come out tomorrow everyone would be in line because they would be so eager to have the newest version.  They would throw out their "old" iPhone X out. This occurs in everyday life. "The last DJ" is not really about an old DJ, but it id about a country that has forgotten about its roots.
