Advertisements in Magazines

In the first magazine, "Wired", there is one advertisement for "ACQUA DI GIO GIORGIO ARMANI." This is a fragrance advertisement for Sephora. The advertisement shows a picture of a younger man on  beach and the bottle of fragrance sitting beside him. This is important because the ad is trying to persuade the customer into  buying the fragrance. There is also a flap on the side of the page that opens and has the smell of the fragrance in it. This is an important way to persuade buyers to buy their product. If the customer smells the fragrance, and believes that if they was to wear it, that they would look like the man in the ad, then they too would want to buy the fragrance.

In the magazine, "The New Yorker," there is an advertisement for "The Great Courses."  This magazine was printed on August 3, 2015. In this advertisement, the company is trying to sell four different DVD's. Each f the DVD's include 6 to 12 lectures. The Ad makes it very clear that if you sign up today you receive a special introductory offer, and can save up to $190. You can buy each one for $9.95 on CD or DVD. The company also include their website and their phone number to make it easier for people to order their products.

In the magazine, "Fast Company,: there is an advertisement for "Chase." This advertisement was printed in May of 2012. The Ad is a picture of a pile of receipts and a picture of a chase credit card. On the Ad, there is a QR code that take you automatically to the Chase website. The website also is on the Ad, but the QR code is more current in technology. Even though this magazine is old than the "New Yorker," this magazine tries to keep up with the newest technology.
